Akemi WD Discovery

<SavanahHolland> Wendy suddenly is running, killer chasing after, the same one she had seen from the movie, the same one ready to grab a pipe and stick it down her throat into her gut like she had seen that busty blonde go through. Wendy knew she wasn't fast either, every step was like a slow motion leap. Suddenly a hand touching her shoulder, it's leathery and grimy, probably dried blood covering it. She turns around to come face to face
<SavanahHolland> with her killer from that horrifying movie. She then jolts up in cold sweaters, breathing heavily, just a nightmare. She then glances to Akemi.
<Kioku> Akemi is curled up on the bed, holding Wendy tightly, looking content as ever, but it seems like Wendy's jolt is waking her up. More pressing though, is the tall man standing in the corner of the room in Victorian-era clothing including monocle, hat and long coat.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes wander around the slightly darkened room, she then notices the tall man in the room, she then actually jolts back into Akemi, trying to not scream at the intruduer.
<Kioku> Akemi is jostled awake by the jolt, and as her eyes blink open, the intruder starts becoming slightly… indistinct. "Wendy? You okay?" she murmurs.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy just stares at the figure through the mostly dark room, maybe there was a murderer, maybe that wasn't just a nightmare, she just stares wide eyed at the figure, slowly moving back into Akemi out of fear, hardly noticing the figure comming somewhat out of focus.
<Kioku> "I say madam, is something wrong?" Well. The man can speak. And he's definitely English. And trying to sound posh. He hasn't moved from the corner, but is acting human and natural so far…
<Kioku> Akemi frowns slightly and holds Wendy even closer. "Wendy… tell me what's wrong? Please?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes go wider at the man speaking, her face becomming cold in fear, she says under her breath to Akemi "There's a man.. in the room." she stares at her it, her eyes almost seeming unblinking, for fear that if she does the thing with approach, and end her.
<Kioku> Akemi pales dramatically and tries to turn Wendy to face her.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy is easily moved to the side, though her back arches as she tries to continue looking at the figure, if it were the only way to keep him from comming closer.
<Kioku> Akemi's hand is behind Wendy's head by now, and she moves herself between the two of them to catch her eyes.
<Kioku> "What did you say?" she asks softly.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy gives up trying to make constant contact with the darkened figure, instead peering into Akemi's shrouded violet eyes, she repeats it to her, quietly but much louder, slowed with fear "There's a man in the room.."
<Kioku> Akemi pales further, if that's even possible and involuntarily moves back a few centimeters. Her breath comes out as a whisper with a strange, incomprehensible mix of emotions. "You can see Zeke?"
<SavanahHolland> As Akemi backs up Wendy then almost fluidly, if possible, to stare at the figure across the room, her eyes still quite wide, the whites of her eyes growing a red tint from not blinking. She then tries to point to this 'Zeke' subtly, as if not to attract the figures attention.
<Kioku> Akemi puts a hand over Wendy's and turns to look at the same point. Exactly the same point. "Naze… do yatte…"
<Kioku> "But… he's not real…"
<Kioku> Akemi is starting to look just as scared.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy slowly backs up, never breaking contant with the figure, trying to meet it's eyes through the darkness, taking a brief second to blink and continue staring vigilantly "I can see… it.."
<Kioku> "Ezekiel! Why can she see you?" Akemi asks sharply to the figure. He sighs and rolls his eyes. "Why wouldn't she be able to, dear lady?"
<Kioku> Akemi takes a long breath and narrows her eyes. "Nobody else does. You. Aren't. Real." As soon as she says those words, 'Zeke' starts dissipating, fading into wisps that scatter into nothingness. In seconds, he's gone without a trace.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy finally sees the figure leave, rubbing her redden eyes and then looking to Akemi for guidence, her eyes were filled with tired fear, after a nightmare seeing a man in your bedroom is not something that leaves you mentally sound.
<Kioku> Akemi's stare doesn't break. "No, Zeke, just… just get out. This is private space, go back to your lab or something."
<Kioku> There's nobody there… why is she still talking to the air?
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then slowly moves her hand to shake Akemi softly, if only to get her attention "H-It's gone.."
<Kioku> Akemi blinks and turns to Wendy, looking just about as scared as she does, and wraps her up in her arms again, burying her face in Wendy's shoulder.
<Kioku> "Why did that happen… how did that happen? That wasn't supposed to happen… nobody else is supposed to see them…"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy lets Akemi's wrap around her, she doesn't seem to mind it, though what happened was less then nice, more like a page out of a horror story. She then slowly moves her hand to rest on the back of Akemi's head "Them..?"
<Kioku> "They aren't real…" Akemi murmurs. "Please forget about this? I don't know how…" \I-is it contageous?\ "You shouldn't have been able to see him…" She's almost crying into Wendy's shoulder by now, but it seems more like confusion and fear than sadness.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then moves her other hand to Akemi's head, both hands holding her head now. She says quietly "What.. is.. 'he'?" she says this not pushy, but firm, needing at least answers.
<Kioku> "A figment. Something my mind made up to pester me," Akemi says with conviction. "Trying to trick me into thinking things are real that aren't, make me respond to people that aren't there, that nobody else can see." She turns her head so that a cheekbone is against Wendy's shoulder, but she's facing her neck and can be heard more clearly. "W-Wendy… Asami's voice isn't the only one I hear," she admits as though it were her most
<Kioku> horrible secret.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy doesn't respond, though she pulls Akemi's body closer to herself, now brushing her hands gently on the bottom of Akemi's head. She closes her eyes, still intent on listening to on her words, her job had been dished out to her. She now had to do it.
<Kioku> "And some… like Zeke… I see them too. They act just like anyone else, but nobody responds to them. That's how I figured out in the first place… that's why every time I meet someone new when others are around, I wait for them to signal that they see them too. Most of them only show up once or twice, but a few are persistant, I've seen them enough times to get to know them like… like people. I don't know if they /are/
<Kioku> shades of people who got caught in my head, or if they're ghosts and there's something different about me so I can see them, or if it's just what…"
<Kioku> Akemi trails off and burrows against Wendy more.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy continues to pet Akemi's head with one hand, the other holding her head tight against herself, she had no words, what could someone say? At that moment she could only comfort her, this Zeke person what a illusion that Akemi created that Wendy could somehow see?
<Kioku> Akemi shivers, glad to be held, comforted… glad Wendy didn't seem afraid or weirded out. Glad she was away from her father who wanted her locked away and hidden from the public because having a family member with a mental illness was seen as very shameful. It's a long time before she's able to muster any more words. "Y-you'll help me, right?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy takes a deep breath, but answers quickly, her choices for Akemi were almost always already decided, she would help Akemi no matter what, the answer was quite simple sounding, at least at the time "Or course.." she holds Akemi's head tight, tracing her fingers along the back of the girls head going into a caress.
<Kioku> Akemi opens her eyes and tilts her head up to look at Wendy with a small smile. "Always there for me…" she murmurs, snuggling in further.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then moves to lay back down, bringing Akemi down with her as she does, still holding the girl close and at this point snuggling into eachother, running from murders in dreams can make a girl mentally tired! And Akemi probably felt the same seeing as she was always in a nightmare.
<Kioku> "Do you want to ignore this? Or… or… try to figure out what happened?"
<Kioku> "L-later."
<SavanahHolland> Wendy goes back to petting the back of Akemi's head "I want to figure out what happened… I just don't know where to start.."
<Kioku> "Okay…" Akemi's breathing starts to slow, lying on her Wendy-pillow. "Relax with you a little longer first…"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy continues to pet Akemi's hair drifting off into a twilight of sleep and being awake, not really either, then almost seem to lay there for hours. Wendy then slowly wakes up from the strange position of sleep she had been in, looking to the window as so light finally sheds into the room, then slowly moving to wake Akemi up.
<Kioku> Akemi rolls further onto Wendy. Odd, she's usually very quick to wake, a definite morning person… even if she'd rather stay in cuddles than actually get up when she wakes.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy lets out a small yawn, followed by a giggle of the way Akemi just rolled into her. She then moves to try to wake her up once more "good morning"
<Kioku> "Ohayo," Akemi murmurs back, finally digging herself out of the nuzzles to face Wendy.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy smiles at the girl, then moving a little to jump out of bed, but not doing it just yet, her feet in the motions to do so when needed "Want to go get some breakfast?"
<Kioku> "Mm. Okay." Akemi tugs the covers off of them and hops out of the bed with a spin. "Hey, did… did that thing earlier really happen?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then jumps off as well, following Akemi, she remembered what happened, what Akemi saw, though what if she were refering to something else and that was a dream? She ends up saying it anyways, even if it perhaps was just a dream "Yeah.."
<Kioku> Akemi looks down and sighs. "I kind of hoped it didn't…" She glances to Wendy and her expression turns completely around into a smile. "But you still like me! You'll help me find out what happened! So I'm happy… that you know about that now. I didn't like hiding it."
<SavanahHolland> Wendy gives Akemi a almost brighter smile to match, though on the inside she was sad for her, and now had and wanted to do whatever she could to help. She moves to give Akemi a quick hug "I'm happy.. I know more about you now, so I can help you too!." she then lets go of the hug, starting to change out of her pajamas.
<Kioku> Akemi nods, humming happily as she changes clothes too.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy gets dressed in a indigo oversized sweater, a lighter strip of berry, more of a lighter indigo in the sweater, going from her shoulder and going down to end at the other side of her waist, wrapping back up in the back. Then sliding on a pair of blue skinny jeans, and slipping on her usual black flats, nice and shiny. Then grabbing her black leather coat, holding it to her side if need arrives for it, which has proved
<SavanahHolland> to happen quite often. The two the escape the room, going to the cafeteria to grab some food, then returning back to the room quickly, Wendy holding a plate with a chocolate chip toasted bagel, apple slices, and a carton of some milk.
<Kioku> Akemi opted for something strongly resembling congee, and added cinnamon. Aside from that, she's also got apple slices and a couple of eggs… and tea snuck from the dorm kitchen.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy ends up sitting on the bed, facing the desk and setting her plate down so she can eat on a hard surface and not get crumbs everywhere. Letting Akemi take the chair or sit next to her, the chair was more obvious and easy though.
<Kioku> Akemi sits on the floor near Wendy, back against the bed, and does indeed use the chair as a table. She looks at her hand for a long moment before starting to eat.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy giggles at Akemi's strange seating, letting her legs dangle near her. She then takes a bite of her chocolate chip bagel, more of a large warm cookie than anything, taking a sip of her milk along with it. Who said you couldn't have cookies for breakfast in the form of bagels?
<Kioku> Akemi nibbles her food in silence, still glancing back to her hand every few bites, and leans her head against Wendy's leg.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then sets her dessert like breakfast back down on the desk, looking down at Akemi as the girl nibbles on her food, not exactly sure what to say, she murmurs to herself for a bit, but mostly staying in silence along with the nibbling girl.
<Kioku> Akemi takes little notice of the murmurs and just keeps eating… also not really sure where to start.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy takes a bite of one of her apple slices, then setting it back down with another sip of milk, wiping off her milk mustache with a napkin, looking back to Akemi "Should.. we talk about.. what happened?" her words are pensive just reserved, not sure exactly what to do.
<Kioku> Akemi sighs softly. "Probably… or how it happened anyway…"
<SavanahHolland> "So.. you don't know how it happened.. right?" her words start to become more reserved and nervous than anything else, nibbling on another apple slice to calm down.
<Kioku> "Right… I don't know at all… why did you see what I did? I really don't know."
<SavanahHolland> The phrasing in that moment could have just been a little off perhaps, maybe she meant something else? Whatever she meant Wendy grew curious "What you did..? It's not like you.. meant to do it.."
<Kioku> Akemi looks up, confused. "Eh?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy takes a sigh, finishing her little apple slice and laying her face on top of Akemi's head "You said.. 'why did you see what I did?' it's not like you meant for me to see it.. it just.. happened.. right?"
<Kioku> "What I saw. Why did you see what I saw. Not, like, acted on…"
<Kioku> "And it was before I even woke up, too… if your reaction was to go by…"
<SavanahHolland> "I think I saw it.. after you woke up? I only reacted that way because.. I had a bad dream.." she lets out a nervous laugh, burying her face into the top of Akemi's head "then I saw the.. man.. I think you were awake when I saw him..?"
<Kioku> "I really don't know…" Akemi shifts to be between Wendy's legs, and pulls them over her shoulders to hug.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy lets Akemi hug her legs with ease, still dangling from the bed "Did you see.. him.. before we went to bed? And I just couldn't see.. him?"
<Kioku> Akemi shakes her head. "Nope. I don't see any of them all that often… and I usually just ignore them if I do, if it's one I recognize from ther times… but he wasn't there, no.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then moves her arms around Akemi's neck, letting them drape above her chest and holding both hands together, her face still on the top of Akemi's head "So.. was this the first time.. someone else could see.. it?"
<Kioku> "As far as I know. I wish I knew how… why… is it just you who can? Could you see other things, maybe things that I don't?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy shakes her head softly, then moving to put her chin on Akemi's head and look out the window "other things..?"
<Kioku> "Things I don't normally see or hear. Maybe things imagined." Akemi squeezes the captive legs and nuzzles one before nibbling on her food a bit more.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy shakes her head softly "No.. that was the first time I saw something.. that wasn't real? Or that could have been real..? I don't know.." she closes her eyes softly
<Kioku> "He never has been before… what happened to him? As you saw it?"
<Kioku> "But I meant, do you think I could show you other things?"
<Kioku> "I want to find out that too…"
<SavanahHolland> "He dissapeared.. when you said he wasn't real.. and you kept talking to him, but I couldn't see him.. I don't really know if I can see.. the other ones.."
<Kioku> Akemi deflates a little. "Oh… for me, he was still there. He walked out of the room after I told him to. I wish I knew where to start… maybe if I just try to trick myself into seeing something?"
<SavanahHolland> "Maybe..? I just don't want you to.. force yourself.." she holds Akemi a little tighter, as if worried of what could happen.
<Kioku> Akemi would tilter her head back to smile slightly at Wendy, if the grl's chin wasn't on her. "Worst case is just, nothing happens. Right? I'm not… seeing… anything right now. So I'll draw on my imagination and see if that works?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy takes a deep breath "O-ok.. you can try at least.." she want to know, but was honestly worried for Akemi, after what happened, who knows if it will even work.
<Kioku> Akemi stares intently at her hand again for nearly half a minute. Just when it seems like nothing's going to happen, she closes her eyes and starts moving her hands around each other. There's a faint, high-pitched ringing tone that accompanies the fairly sudden creation of a swirling, shimmering trail of glowing ribbons between her hands that act like every movement of her fingers affect them.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy moves her head softly off Akemi's head moving it to stare at the glowing ribbons, almost looking like lace to her eyes, letting it shine off her own blue eyes with a bout of awe.
<Kioku> Akemi opens her eyes at the gasp and looks, but when she does, they start to waver, become less realistic, and the bright, vibrant color starts to fade and dull. Soon, they fall apart and scatter into nothing (and the sound stops), just like the man before. Akemi stares at her hands for a few more moments. "W-Wendy, did you-"
<SavanahHolland> Her eyes had continued staring at the place where the ribbons of light were created, blinking for a moment as they leave her hands, turning to the air into nothing. She shakes her head to Akemi, not having really done anything, at least from what she had thought.
<Kioku> Akemi's face falls, misinterpreting the meaning. She meant to ask if Wendy had seen it too, not if she'd done anything, and the fact that both questions wanted opposite answers means that this misunderstanding is a crushing one. Her shoulders slump and she glares at her hands, looking like she's about to do something rash.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy notices Akemi's movement, confused, then ploping off the side of the bed, and sitting next to Akemi, to take both of her hands in her own, staring at Akemi's hands almost intensely.
<Kioku> Akemi gives Wendy a confused look, but behind it her sadness is still showing clearly.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy continues to hold Akemi's hands, tracing her fingers along one of the palms of Akemi's hand, she breaths, almost silently, yet words still come flowing "Akemi.. what was that..?"
<Kioku> Akemi just looks more confused. "What was… I thought you said you couldn't see it. W-would you describe it? Please??!"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy looks up to Akemi "No.. I s-saw it.." she then takes a deep breath "T-there was like a ringing sound when you did it.. A-and there were like.. glowing strings in your hands!" she bites her lip harshly
<Kioku> Akemi's eyes widen and she slowly shifts from her dour look to a bright and excited grin. "You saw? I've never seen that before, so I wasn't sure if I was just creating a new vision for myself or something!"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy takes another deep breath, nodding to Akemi greatly, continuing to moves her hands to check all over Akemi's, for signs of anything off "D-did it hurt you..?"
<Kioku> Akemi shakes her head quickly. "Not at all! It was a little tingly, but I'm not sure if I just imagined that, or if it was part of the… what would you call that?
<SavanahHolland> "I-illusion?" she says slowly, actually quite unsure "I- I don't know.." she keeps checking Akemi's hands, more so letting her body take over as she had already searches the girl's hand thoroughly.
<Kioku> Akemi bites her lip cutely - she'd picking it up from Wendy and then making it flirty, apparently - and tilts her head. "Yeah… that sounds about right, I think. I wonder if you could touch it? I can touch and feel the people I see unless I conciously think about how they aren't really there. Like, I can go through them, but I get all the full-on feelings as if I were really touching them, and my body doesn't want to let me go
<Kioku> through them unless I /know/ that I can."
<Kioku> "… Want to try?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy stares at the cute lip bite for a moment, then looking back down at the girl's hands to hide a obvious blush, retracting her lip biting, "O-ok.. yeah.. We can try." she sounds a little nervous, but not in any way scared.
<Kioku> "Maybe it'll be easier this time…" Akemi takes a deep breath and leans against Wendy, pressing her tongue against a tooth and raising her hands again. The results are faster than last time, and just as vivid as when her eyes were closed, even though they're open now. She stares in wonder. "I did this… it wasn't forced on me, it's…" She slowly moves a finger toward one of the brightly colored bands.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy stares in complete awe once more, the light reflecting off her eyes, then she, much like Akemi had, moved one of her slender, pale fingers to touch the glowing ribbons Akemi had weaved with ease.
<Kioku> The ribbon feels as real as anything, exactly how it looks. You can feel the pressure against your fingers, the heat, it's completely, totally real. It feels… like something that would respond to her power, actually, with very, very great difficulty.
<Kioku> Akemi's finger comes in contact a second later, and she flinches back with a hiss of pain.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy feels the ribbons of energy surrond her own fingers, the feeling starting to ever so slightly course through her veins, like her own power, though the feeling is far from sweet, like a sharp poison flowing, though it isn't exactly pain. She then slowly removes her fingers, quickly taking Akemi's finger that had been singed.
<Kioku> There appears to be a second degree burn on Akemi's finger that she's staring at intensely… and it's fading very quickly back to undamaged skin. "It doesn't hurt, I'm okay," she murmurs.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy's breath shakes seeing the burn, remembering something she can't quite understand, then pushing it back to the darkest recesses of her mind. She holds the finger, moving it to her gaze, her other hand holding Akemi's wrist, and with the touch making Akemi's body warm, she knew this protection could do little for the now fading wound, or the pain she says she isn't feeling.
<Kioku> Akemi smiles a little more and kisses Wendy on the cheek. "It's alright. I know it can't hurt me for real, because… I'm making it, right? Look!" One of the ribbons whips out and scorches a deep gouge into the wall of the room. Akemi looks surprised, then narrows her eyes… and giggles.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy then looks up at Akemi, being kissed on the cheek she blushes, offering the girl a nervous smile in return, letting Akemi's hand go gingerly, she then swiftly turns her head to see the ribbon fly out to harshly hit the wall, creating a scorched gouge, she opens her eyes even wider, moving to the look at Akemi is even more awe.
<Kioku> "It didn't happen. The wall is fine!" Akemi giggles again, almost uncontrollably. "Oh, I simply must experiment more. You're not busy today, are you?"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy blinks at Akemi, her gaze going back to the wall, then Akemi once more "I- I'm not busy.. though I might be around lunch for a bit.. but other than that I'm not busy!"
<Kioku> Akemi lifts the hand holding the swirling knot of plasma to her face and literally blows it out. At least, that's how it looks. At the same time, the wall is totally repaired.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy stares at Akemi as the plasma wielder, blows the ribbons out, still in awe, unsure of what words to find, looking like a wide eyed child, nervousness and curiousity ensuing.
<Kioku> Akemi openly laughs, looking like she'd twirl in place if she were standing, but instead opts to side-hug Wendy tightly.
<Kioku> "Thank you for sharing this with me! So much! For being here!"
<SavanahHolland> Wendy seems a little suprised at the sudden side hug, but then almost jumps into Akemi's lap, but due to the both being on the floor its more of a steady crawl. She the puffs her cheeks, wrapping her arms around the girl to give her a proper hug.
<Kioku> Akemi blinks at the sudden Wendy in her lap, facing her and probably having to straddle her to get in that position. She blushes slightly and returns the 'proper' hug.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy continues hugging the girl, then leaning away from the hug to look at Akemi, her cheeks having grown, puffier, trying to hide her own pink blush.
<Kioku> Akemi smiles back at Wendy, then gets a small look of mischief and leans forward.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy doesn't exactly move, though as Akemi leans in closer her cheeks inflate a little more, being now inable to keep it going, a dark, almost cinnonmon blush comming on her face.
<Kioku> Akemi gets a look of intense concentration and closes her eyes, then kisses the air several inches in front of Wendy. There's a faint tingling in the same shape and motion on Wendy's own lips, like something half-real and clearly illusive, but still feeling real and tactile enough to garner a reaction.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy's cheeks quickly deflate as she feels the sensation of air kissing, of sorts, blushing quite harshly on her pale skin, recently having been covering it up more, making her skin only grow paler. She then slowly moves her hand to touch her own lips, both eyes trying to see, but Wendy looking a little crosseyed while doing it.
<Kioku> Akemi opens her eyes and giggles, Wendy's reaction telling her that it worked… at least partly.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy blushes brighter at Akemi's happy giggles, far too flustered to even speak, then placing a small kiss on Akemi's cheek as a strange thank you of sorts.
<Kioku> Akemi nuzzles against Wendy's cheek. "I want to get better at this. You don't mind using your senses to help me, right~?"
<SavanahHolland> "I don't mind.." she says quietly, still blushing quite rashly from the girl's kiss of power.
<Kioku> Akemi rests her chin on one of Wendy's shoulders and hums happily. If Wendy could see her from here, she'd see her get a look of focus again as she holds her more tightly. "Let's start with maybe… do you hear me~?" Akemi's voice came as a whisper from Wendy's *opposite* side.
<SavanahHolland> Wendy almost moves away from the side the voice had came from, but stops herself, nodding "Yes"
<Kioku> Akemi giggles - from the correct side this time - and pulls Wendy closer, more securely into her lap. "Wonderful! There's so much I want to try now! Like, SO much. I could spend days on this! You should suggest things too~"
