This is a new concept I'm trying here at Sunnybrook, wherein Students will apply and commit to a series of runs that all form a larger one. Allowing more time to flesh out a story and give the characters better choices and growth as well as greater reward.
Rise of a New Age
When supernatural started to crop up in more alarming numbers across the world, researchers were baffled. It was known for some time these anomalous things existed by certain individuals. Yet only in the last few years did they become something that started to permeate the zeitgeist of the orders around the world. People were noticing, and they had questions, but very few answers.
A single distress beacon. Picked up by Russian High Command on a chilly night in May. An old facility that existed on no modern maps, that had disappeared in the fall of the Soviet Union. Purposely removed from the charts an left to the ages to fall apart. That was, until the signal. They tried to keep it internal but, things change. So they pulled their weight, and the Watch Unit was brought in. It wasn't a secret anymore. The Russians had found something and they didn't know what it was. People noticed, organizations older than time were taking notice. The Watch Unit? They had plans to deal with it and contain it. That was until a certain order came down from their top echelons. Sunnybrook. That would be the answer.
This new world that was growing so brightly, was about to face the ghosts of it's old world past.
So, here's how this is going to work! This will occur over three runs, with a possible extension to a fourth run and it might take less. Student choice will dictate what happens and how long this takes but I have plans for it to last a while.
To give an idea of what this will contain, it will be, basically a dungeon crawl through an old world bunker. Students will face obstacles, from puzzles to combat, personal soul searching and problem solving. Their goal? Find the source of the distress beacon, simple enough. Things however, often crop up, don't they?
Because of the nature of this, I am going to lock this run at a hard cap of 4 Students. Less will work, but that's the sweet number for what I have written. The dates for the run will be 12/9, 12/10, 12/11. This can be negotiated if people have hard limits on being there, but schedules are hard so this will be greatly helpful if those days work for you. Time of day will depend on the players involved. You will be asked to be at every session, and lack of a player will make us reschedule.
What kind of students are they looking for? Anyone! I will be tailoring this run to the students involved as best I can.
What you need to apply~!
In this thread, you will post the following for me.
- Student name (link their sheet)
- Preferred method of conflict resolution
- A paragraph describing the student's thoughts on the Supernatural and the Anomalous world.
- Paragraph going over the student's hopes and dreams for the future.
- What the student hopes to find. (This one is open to your interpretation for a reason)
So, I hope some of you will show interest! Contact me with any questions you have, and I hope this will be fun!
(Application doesn't guarantee entry!)
