Personal History:

Salem grew up living in a house with his mother and aunt, who run a very nice little aquarium together. His youngest childhood memories are of watching the otters race each other for treats and pressing his hand against the glass of his favorite fish tank until he was suddenly feeling cool water and the fish were nibbling his fingers lightly.
After that his guardians kept his powers hidden, but raised him as well as they could, dealing with a child who would suddenly disappear or warp to another space. He could barely control it for the first ten years of his life, but as he matured he stopped flickering so much and began just to warp where he wanted to be. He also got much better at using his abilities to get places he hadn't before without being noticed.
He didn't go to school, obviously, but he still had friends, and he spent much of his free time in the aquarium meeting people and learning how to talk to them.
When he was almost seventeen, he woke up in a bus on the way to Sunnybrook.

  • He's missing the pinky off of his right hand. It was amputated when he was eleven and it was almost fully bitten off.
