Abilities/Powers should be fairly broad, but look at other characters for good examples. They can grow over time, so don't worry if you start on the small side! You get 7 points to spend on powers at creation, with a starting cap of 4 and total cap of 7. Powers add your Tier to their rolls, usually.
Shadow Arts - 3 - Dark Energy Control, This extends to but is not limited to the following: Creating a Field of Darkness, this will push away all light and will absorb all light that attempts to enter the perimeter of the field and nullify it. The field is what could be defined as 'True Darkness' which the human brain just can't comprehend so many that see the field standing alone in a room that is well lit just simply become confused or are driven mad by the existence of something that seemingly can not exist. This can be extended to create a cloak of shadow around herself to blend into the shadows more easily as well, giving increased stealth. Utilizing the dark energies she can create bolts of energy that are completely dark, and can be fired at targets with the effect of sapping the thermal energy of the target the bolt was fired at, depending on the strength of the bolt can even freeze the target. This energy can also be fashioned into any solid, object so long as it does not have complex moving parts. (Sword, yes. Chainsaw, no.)
Now you're thinking with Portals - 2+1 - Utilizing a type of quantum entanglement mixed with a Einstein-Rosen bridge she can essentially create a portal that can instantaneously transport herself or anyone else to a location that she has set prior to the creation of the portal. It appears as a swirling vortex of darkness with an 8 foot radius. The party intending to be teleported must move through the portal, although the portal can be formed directly underneath the target party their orientation will not change as they travel through the portal and the orientation of the exit portal can be independent of the portal of origin. The exit portal can be formed anywhere that she has a knowledge of its location within time and space, however the portal of origin must be within 50 feet of her current location and within line of sight. She can teleport to general locations fairly well. Teleporting to a city she's never been to before? Sure, teleporting to a specific place she has never been to before? Nope. She must have a general knowledge of the location of the destination relative to her own within space-time.
Shadow-form - 2 - Kris can transform her body into a form of shade type creature, this makes her incorporeal and allows her to traverse through solid matter. While in this form she must remain in the shadows, as exposure to light can deteriorate the form and break her out of the transformation. While in this form she can only maintain it for about 5 minutes before the deterioration of the form forces her to revert back to her normal self. While in the form however she has full control over her abilities, but it doesn't increase their power by any measurable amount.

- Photophobic (Severe) - Kris is allergic to light, artificial light makes her uncomfortable and can make her feel tired and sick but for the most part she can operate normally, strong artificial light such as a spot light can have the same effects as sunlight however. Sunlight can burn her skin if exposed to it unprotected for too long.

Kris grew up in a large city, one of the largest in the country. Her family was picture perfect. Mom, Dad, Older Sister, Older Brother, Younger Sister, Dog. Her life was normal, she went to school, participated in sports, did theater, got into trouble at home for sneaking out at night. Typical stuff. Everything changed one year close to her 12th birthday however. A family photo was taken and Kris' face was just a large black spot. Thinking it was something wrong with the camera her family used a different camera, same effect. Even using an antique film camera caused the same effect.
It wasn't until Kris accidentally sent her little sister to a far away place with a portal she created after she wished for her sister to just 'go away' that her parents finally had enough of her antics. They tried to have her taken away to a mental hospital to be medically sedated and held so she couldn't hurt anyone else. When the orderly's came however, they found that they couldn't quite contain the young girl and she easily made herself disappear. Creating a perfect sphere of darkness around herself, floating in mid air everyone, including her family went mad. Their minds could not cope with the pure darkness that they experienced and lost their minds.
Ever since then she had been on the streets, eating what she could find, stealing what she couldn't. She was untouchable, taken under the wing of a professional thief she was his go to girl for stealing valuables that others simply could not reach, teleporting them inside of the most secure safes in the world and teleporting them back out. Her crimes were not gone unnoticed however, but to her credit the man had manipulated her and twisted her mind into thinking that she was stealing from very bad men.
After a while they caught the attention of a local team of heroes that decided to put an end to the whole crime ring, and after her mentor was caught and restrained his control over her was broken, a confused and suddenly frightened young woman was taken into SunnyBrook and debriefed, where she was found not guilty by reason of psychic manipulation.
Kris' face does not show up in photographs, instead there is simply a dark circle where her face should be.
Kris is an excellent acrobat and street runner, able to keep up with the best of them with ease, even though she doesn't need to she has found relying on her abilities too heavily can be a severe handicap.
