Demeanor: Ju may seem approachable upon people's first and second viewing.Most people will still fail to realize what he's after by the time he's brought them under heel.

Nature: Ju is a power-player wherever he goes. He will manipulate, cheat and scuffle his way to the top every time, preferably using entirely mundane methods of coercion, and only calling on his power when the situation is dire or someone really deserves it. He thrives on rules and regulations he can make himself an exception to and leverage against others, so the SunnyBrook environment suits him just fine.

Description: Ju looks like a particularly androgynous sixteen-year old boy. He has the looks to pull people towards him and confuse them, and he knows how to use that well enough to consider it an advantage.

Supernatural Abilities:

These are things your character accomplishes via their power

  • Biological Response Control: Ju can subtly control the nervous and endocrine systems of others within a short range (usually within a room), essentially causing most of the effects specialized drugs can cause.
  • Hyper-Intuition: Ju's power lets Ju passively intuit people's emotions and reactions, by reading their neural synapses and their body language and feeding Ju answers he can parse. This power is heightened in combat to the point where he can predict what the opponent will do next and react to that with some advance notice.
  • Supernatural Cold-Reading: Ju's power can collect data from the environment that he might not be consciously aware of. Things like radiation, electromagnetic interference, or details that he doesn't focus on. His power drip-feeds information to him that it parses itself; a secondary effect of his hyper-intuition. He might be able to intuit the capabilities of an anomaly, the exact distance between two points in space and even if two people are in a relationship (or if one of them has unrequited feelings). He has to consciously enable this form of his power, and prolonged use will give him extreme migraines.
  • Side Effects: Ju's power has effect over an area, and that means it can passively come in contact with other mental powers. When it does, it can piggyback on their signal to increase its own area of effect, boost or counteract them, or use them as a direct line into the other person's brain, giving Ju even more control than when making physical contact.

His Emotional Control power gets stronger the closer he stands to people, physical contact giving him the most control. It takes some time for the effects of his power to die off. The more prolonged their exposure, the more control he gets over a specific person's emotions and responses.

As examples: He can make people feel euphoric, thirsty, hungry, slow, tired, afraid, motivated, lower their inhibitions, etc. He can also boost or dull the regular responses people would get.

Personal History:

Ju was born to a down-on-his-luck chinese cook and his wife. His childhood was filled with unfulfilled wants and needs, though his power generally boosted their mood while at home. It was only when his family put him to work in their failing restaurant that their luck got better, as Ju's presence boosted the rate of returning customers more than anything.

As he grew his powers grew stronger, but his limits didn't grow any bigger. When his parents found out about his powers, they used him as a walking cocktail of recreational drugs, establishing an expensive "opium" den behind their business that left no physical evidence. Many powerful people wanted to poach him for his power, gang leaders offering ridiculous amounts of money for him even though his parents refused to sell him, at least for a time.

They were worn down eventually, paid enough money to retire and never have to work again. Ju became a slave to a japanese crime boss, used for his powers till he passed out from the migraines. A few months later, the crime boss' gang was in shambles, as Ju fostered conflict within it and eroded the loyalty of all its members.

He escaped, but he only made it a few steps into establishing a normal life before the G.W.U. caught up to him. As one of the conditions he set for his grudging cooperation, he asked for a ride off of japan, ending up in SunnyBrook. He's carefully manipulated the G.W.U. to make sure they think his power is to deliver drugs through hand-to-skin contact, and not much else.

Miscellaneous:

Was tagged by the academy authorities, but not enough evidence was found. His punishment was reduced to a single day. The tag is off.

He owns a dress and a pair of hair ties.
