Test Character: Farley "F" Hawkins

Basic Info:

Player: SolongStarbird

Demeanor: F is an utter goofball. He can come across as annoying quite often, but you can tell that the kid is just awkward and smart and maybe a little lonely. Oh, and he can get real facetious at times.

Nature: Truth be told, F is a smart, capable lad, but his social skills can be a bit lacking. He grew up on the class clown mentality. The only real way he knows how to get attention from anyone not close to him is to be funny. If you do become a member of F's close people, though, he really does calm down… most of the time. He's actually really sweet and surprisingly level-headed.

Description: Farley is am 18 year old, pale, freckly, ginger 'fro-toting, Irish-as-hell boy who tops out at 6 feet 1 inch. He wears a pair of glasses, preferring them to contacts. His standard garb consists of cargo shorts, long sleeves with a baseball jersey over top, and his "Class of 2020" key necklace. Oh, and he… he wears crocs… with socks… funky socks…

Stats:

HP and Psyche start at 6, can't raise during creation, but add 1/2 of Brawn to HP.
Brawn, Agility and Brains start at 1 each, starting cap 4, total cap 6, and you get 5 points to distribute among them.

HP: 7

Psyche: 6

Brawn: 2

Agility: 3

Brains: 3

Skills:

Things your character is good at, things normal people can do
Skills rolls add their associated stat as well (Brawn, Agility or Brains). You get 12 points to spend on skills at creation, with a starting cap of 4 and total cap of 6.

  • Perception - F is attentive of the circumstances, as any long-time class clown should be. (brains) 4
  • Gymnastics - "Yes, guys do gymnastics too! Oh! that reminds me! What do a mentally handicapped jungle cat and a gymnast's outfit have in common? They're both leotards! *hehe lol just came up with that one*" (agility) 3
  • Persuasion - He's silly, but oh-so convincing. (brains) 3
  • Self-defense - "Whoah! Whoah! Beatrice! Take it easy! I don't care if you think my joke was ableist, you don't have to assault me over it! Besides, I've blocked every passionate sjw haymaker you've thrown at me so far!" (brawn) 2

Supernatural Abilities:

These are things you're character accomplishes via their power.
Abilities/Powers should be fairly broad, but look at other characters for good examples. They can grow over time, so don't worry if you start on the small side! You get 7 points to spend on powers at creation, with a starting cap of 4 and total cap of 7. Powers add your Tier to their rolls, usually.

Hardball - 4 - Any object up to (currently) the size of a baseball F throws with the intent of using this power will obtain bullet-level force and accuracy once it leaves his hand. As times goes on and the ability develops, Farley will be able to throw larger and larger items this way.

"What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back?… It doesn't matter! - 3 - Any item within F's size range mentioned previously, as long as it is within three to four feet of him, can be telekinetically brought to his hand. Once Farley has thrown an item using his hardball throw, that thrown item can be returned to his hand the same way, though from much greater distances, the extent of which has yet to be tested, but the farther away it is, the more strain it puts on F. The thrown items seem to lose this range of effect after 5 minutes with no contact.

Weaknesses:

Things that cause problems for your character, often side effect of your powers (or of having your powers), not necessary. Not just 'limitations' of your powers.

  • Nothing really…

Possessions:

List everything your character carries on their person here. Be reasonable.

  • Smartphone
  • Headphones
  • Watch
  • Class key necklace
  • Several steel marbles
  • Wallet with anywhere from 5 to 25 bucks at any given time, and several baseball cards

And everything that they keep in their dorm at Fifth Sanctum. Anything that's not listed here or in the section above may be difficult for the character to retrieve.

  • Laptop
  • Some books
  • Some clothes
  • Baseball gear
  • Baseball cards
  • Box of glass marbles

Personal History:

Farley "F" Hawkins is the only child of two Irish immigrants who came to the USA in their twenties. Truth be told, his life growing up wasn't too much interesting, except that he wasn't ever good at making friends, and made up for it by becoming a profuse comedian, and taking up baseball.

In 8th grade, he managed to make a friend out of Ernest Mitchell, the black kid who had just moved in across the street. They shared a love of awful puns and baseball.

And then, after his graduation, he and Ernest signed up to teach Little League baseball to make some money. And that's when his powers revealed themselves. Pitching to a little boy as part of the practice, it sounded like a crack of thunder went off. The little boy went to swing, but there was already a hole in the batter's cage and the porta-potty behind him.

Soon, he was discovered by Fifth Sanctum, and went voluntarily after they offered him a scholarship to Haven's college.

Miscellaneous:

Birthday is June 14th. He's a Gemini.

It was actually his mother who introduced him to baseball.

He is pursuing a degree in theater arts.

Ernest is just a bit jealous of F's "superpowers" and his "superpower scholarship." Just a bit…
