Demeanor: He doesn't have a lot of say to strangers and he keeps to himself. He has an idea that he is horribly dangerous. He doesn't let anyone know if they " got to him" but he will repay grievances with a vengeance.
Nature: Cody thinks he has smelt it, dealt it and felt it. The opposite sex and the same sex has little interest to him as he is preoccupied with discovery of this incredible talent that has erupted in a violent manner. He is always performing " experiments " and writing things down….always drawings and taking notes. Confident in himself he doesn't require restraint or supervision in his own opinion.
Description: His eyes are two different colors. One Blue - One brown. Dark Brown Hair. Some clearly illegal underage piercings. Weighing in at 180 lbs and 6'0 - he's wry and built for his size….He doesn't bother to brush his hair but rather run a hand thru it. He cleans up pretty okay and his eyes can make a startling impression.
HP and Psyche start at 6, can't raise during creation, but add 1/2 of Brawn to HP.
Brawn, Agility and Brains start at 1 each, starting cap 4, total cap 6, and you get 5 points to distribute among them.
Things your character is good at, things normal people can do
Skills rolls add their associated stat as well (Brawn, Agility or Brains). You get 12 points to spend on skills at creation, with a starting cap of 4 and total cap of 6.
Fortitude (4) (Brawn) You have to be tough to play with the raw forces of nature
Reflexes (4) (Agility) He's quick to react to defend himself.
Strength Application (4) (Brawn)
- Gravity Control (3) He can increase or decrease gravity on a particular object or person. Simply by changing an object, organism, or particle's center of gravitational pull (i.E. the direction it reacts to as "down") and the amount of gravitational pull on the target
- Summoning of ferrous and nonferrous Earthen substances ( i.e., stone rock) (2) He can call forth rocks…from anywhere.
- Omniglot (2) Cody can speak, read, write, and understand any human language.
List everything your character carries on their person here. Be reasonable.
- Sketchbook and pen
- a set of Magnets
*picture of his dog.
And everything that they keep in their dorm at SunnyBrook. Anything that's not listed here or in the section above will be difficult for the character to retrieve.
- His clothes - what little bit he has.
- Also mine…
Cody Cade Cooper was born to poor white trash. No prestige here. The trailer park was horrible. Meth, Prostitution, domestic violence, mongrel dogs, Cops being filmed in his trailer park….all common. He grew up normalish by going to a c- public school. Cody isn't dumb or stupid however - thought they thought he was. Late to start speaking his mother noticed the day he said his first word with an outstretched arm and he said " Ball…" and the ball obediently but slowly rolled towards him. Maybe it was breeze? She didn't think on it further. Other things happened like that. Cody got into fights of course…for being called a freak…. and before long he had disciplinary problems in middle school. That's when he started skipping school. First it was a day here…a day there….by high school he was only attending home room one day a week. That's when he started smoking, shop lifting and spending more time alone. Unfortunately, this made him more of an outcast than he wanted to be. A fight broke out between him and a varsity jock. He used everything he had in his "abilities" causing gravity to pull so hard on the jock's form that he literally imploded in a very messy and splattery fashion. Much screaming ensued from the teenagers that were witnessing the fight and of course it was Cody's fault because he was always the freak.
That's when the MIB's showed up and have dragged Cody to Sunnybrook. His parents have quietly signed over the custody papers for a neat sum of money compliments of Sunnybrook's benefactors.
This is End Goal - but the concept is:
Time control has too large of a margin for error that could lead to unforeseen consequence at a catastrophic level. Telekinesis is probably the closest on this list in terms of raw potential and usability to gravitational control, but it does have some drawbacks. At its core, gravity manipulation would give the user all abilities associated with telekinesis. Simply by changing an object, organism, or particle's center of gravitational pull (i.e. the direction it reacts to as "down") and the amount of gravitational pull on the target, the user can cause the target to move through space at incredible speeds, slow it down, make it weightless, implode, or any number of other possibilities, similar to telekinesis. However, unlike telekinesis, gravitational manipulation would not require constant concentration. Once a direction and level of force was applied, the user can step back and let physics do the rest. This frees up the user to continue whatever else he/she needs to do. Gravitational manipulation can also allow the user to mimic many other types of powers, as well as increase their base fitness level. Imagine living life with 10 extra pounds of force constantly pulling on you. You would get pretty strong, pretty fast. Then, you can just up the weight. However, even this application doesn't have much bearing beyond the aesthetic. Gravitational manipulation can make anything weightless! (Super strength? ) This ability gets even more fun when you consider applying two separate pulls on one object, say… an atom? You could turn anything into a nuclear bomb. Gravity is a force we are not even close to understanding. As such, its potential is practically limitless. For all we know, the relationships between gravity and other universal forces could allow for a gravity manipulator to control time and space itself.
No one really know what Cody can accomplish at this stage in his life. Sometimes he cant peel himself off the ground…other times he is overly clingy to things for fear of floating away…he's had some mishaps that have been fatal to other people and that's why he is at Sunnybrook.
